the begginings of performance.

Blues: was created in south american when the slaves were brought to work for plantation owners and rail road engineers, the songs were a way of the slaves to get their troubles off their chest and to guide other slaves to freedom by sing to them in the night with directions to escape slavery.

Melodrama: is a mix of two words which mean melo (melody)-(sound) and drama (action) it would be playing a certain type of music when the bad guy or a certain character came onto the stage.

Classical ballet: is a form of dance that was invented in 1760 in France it is a graceful and elegant form of dance and is usually accompanied by a use of opera or classical music.

ragtime: is a style of music created in America by Scott Joplin in 1897 and was played primarily by black african american bands and was usually very popular in saloons and the red light district.

Sattriya dance: was invented 500 years ago by Sankaderva and is considered a traditional indian dance the style is based on mythical stories and tales from folk law and legend.
